Hello everyone,
Sorry for the late blog post, I will do a double week round up!
Last week we had a great day celebrating World Book Day, every pupil confidently shared their favourite book and explained to the class why they chose it π we made paper dolls just like the Julia Donaldson book and we created a deck for our own 100 decker bus inspired by the book. We also were given picture clues and had to match them to the correct book, we were excellent detectives π΅π»ββοΈ
We have now learnt every sound in the alphabet and we are loving creating words independently. It is amazing how much we can write on our own, we are so good at just giving it a go!
In numeracy we are looking at doubles within 10. Some of us like a challenge beyond 10!
Some pupils worked on painting transport they had made from cardboard when learning about transport across cities and the countryside. Can you spot the Glasgow subway? π
Our STEM leaders visited us for British Science Week. We created an experiment to see what happens when a white flower is in a vase of coloured water, we made predictions. Stay tuned to see the results! π·
You will also see some pictures from our time playing. The creations the children make are out of this world π What a lucky teacher I am.
Have a lovely weekend βοΈ
