Pupil Voice-

This week in Room 5 we have been learning about:

  • Wind Turbines- They make electricity, this electricity renewable.
  • Split Digraphs- i_e and o_e
  • Scottish Islands- Difference between schools and homes in islands, and schools and homes in cities.
  • Sea Creatures that live in the Atlantic Ocean.
  • Different ways to get to an island, especially using a boat.
  • 2D shapes- Triangle, Rectangle, Square, Circle, Pentagon, Hexagon and Oval
  • Fact Files for our Writing, based on animals that live in Scottish Islands- Scottish Wildcat, Golden Eagle, Red Squirrel, Dolphins, Hares, Red Deer, Badger
  • Multiplication- by 2, 5, 10
  • Doubling Numbers
  • We have been reading Non Fiction and learning how to answer questions on Non Fiction Books.
  • Games on the Chromebooks with the P5 Buddies
  • Painting and describing pictures of Scottish Islands
  • Painting and drawing off-shore and on-shore wind turbines.

We have worked so hard this week, please remember to ask us about it at home so we can share our learning.

Reminders:

Indoor P.E- Thursday and Friday

Please pack a jacket as children will be outdoor for breaks and lunch, and we will aim to be out every Friday for P.E (Weather Permitting!)

Our school trip is on Monday 30th March.

Homework will go out on Tuesday, to be returned on Monday.
