Hello from Room 9!!

 

I’m sure by now you will have heard all about our fantastic trip to Hampden Park last week. We were so lucky to be given the opportunity to get not only 1 but 2 trains from Newton train station. We started our day sharp by walking to the train station where we got our first of 4 trains that day from Newton to Glasgow Central. While in Glasgow Central we were able to look at all the different platforms and see all of the places we can travel to by train. From there we boarded the train to Mount Florida where we met a lovely ticket examiner who answered all of our wonderful questions. Once we arrived at Mount Florida we walked to Hampden Park where we completed the stadium tour, museum where we completed a quiz on what we learned about and coaching session. During our stadium tour we got the opportunity to see where teams arrive for their games. We also had a look in the home and away dressing rooms. We seen some names on shirts that we recognised.  We each took a shot into the goal from the penalty spot and Jude set the school record of 39 mph. Well done Jude!! We took the same journey back home and arrived back to school. I’m sure we all slept well that night. We had the best time ever and loved getting the train.
