Newton Farm Primary School and Nursery Class

Room 2 and 3

This week during P.E, Room 2 and Room 3 had a fantastic time coming together to learn and share something special. Room 2 took on the role of teachers and taught Room 3 The Grand Old Duke of York song and dance. It was wonderful to see the pupils working together and supporting one another.

Room 2 did an amazing job leading the activity. They confidently demonstrated the actions, helped explain the moves and sang the song clearly so everyone could follow along. Room 3 were great learners, giving the dance a go and joining in with lots of enthusiasm and smiles.

It was a fun and positive experience for both classes, building confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills. Well done to both Room 2 and Room 3 for such a successful and enjoyable P.E session.

On Tuesday 10th February, Room 2 and 3 will be going to Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum for their school trip. Please send your child to school with a packed lunch (unless stated otherwise) and an outdoor jacket on Tuesday. Children should bring their usual packed lunch, the same as they would on a normal school day as we have a busy and exciting schedule. We can’t wait to have lots of fun on our trip!

We hope you have a lovely weekend.
