It has been a learning filled week in Room 5 this week.
We started the week learning a new sound ‘y’ that makes the ‘igh’ sound. We also learned 4 more common words ‘fly, bring, Mr. , two’. We enjoyed lots of different active spelling tasks to practice this.
We are revising our knowledge on the 2 times table, and how this is the same as doubling a number. We are excited as next week we are going to look at the 5 and 10 times table properly.
For our scottish island topic, the children have been creating their own islands and have enjoyed exploring it through play. They are really enjoying learning about Scotland.
Next week we are consolidating in number and literacy, practicing lots of previous learning.
Please note, there has been a homework update. New homework will now go out on Tuesdays, and homework to be returned on Mondays.
Reminder: Indoor P.E on Thursday, Outdoor P.E on Monday. If you can make sure your child has a change of clothes in their bags, just as they can sometimes get a bit mucky when out playing and this helps to make sure they are comfy.
