What a busy first week back we have had! 2026 is off to a wonderful start in Room 1!

We have been learning new maths games to help us with our number sense, started a small block of tennis activities in P.E. and been working on our reading skills with some paired reading.

During our play sessions a few pupils began making ice-cream shops. This sparked inspiration within the classroom which has led to a fantastic whole class project of creating our own city.

We have been learning about what you find in a city in comparison to the countryside and we have been investigating landmarks in Glasgow.

I can’t wait to see where this project takes us. 🌆🏙️
