This week in Room 5 we have been learning the ‘ou’ sound for phonics. We did lots of different tasks to help us remember it and how to spot ‘ou’ not ‘ow’ when we hear the same sound. We completed lots of different chilli challenges in Maths which were about all of the things we have learned so far, 2D shape, Measure, Multiplication, Division, Numbers to 100, Addition and Subtraction. It has been a ‘mind challenging’ week!

This week was our christmas concert, and we really enjoyed taking part. It was so much fun and we wish we could do it all over again. Thank you to everyone who came along to see us.

Pupil Voice:

Alice: I have enjoyed doing our Christmas Concert it was so much fun.

CJ: I had fun playing.

Lewis: I enjoyed making boats with Alex R and Blake during play.

Ollie: I enjoyed learning about ‘ou’ words, i like the word ‘proud’.

Alex M: I enjoyed doing arts and crafts today with the paper plates.

Sam: I had fun at the Christmas Concert.

Next week on Monday is our Party. Children can come dressed up OR dressed down, and they do not need to wear uniform. Snacks will be provided for the party by parent council and these will be given out in the afternoon due to our party being before lunch.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.Miss Livingstone and Room 5
