Art – We drew our own portraits but with a twist… We Grinched ourselves! They look great outside our classroom!

Christmas Games & Movie Day – As our end of term treat from Miss Napier, we got into groups and took part in a Christmas Games Day! We played different rounds called: Snow Shovel, Hungry Reindeer, Santa Stack, Candy Cane Fishing and Switch on the Lights. We also had a tricky quiz round and an unusual game of Pass the Parcel, where we had to wear oven mitts to try and open each layer on the presents! We had to finish with a tie-breaker round the next day between two groups: the Sigma Santas and Biggie Boyz Utd. The tie breaker challenge? To create the class teacher using a balloon within 10 minutes! In the end, the winning team were the Sigma Santas!

(Miss Napier took lots of photos and will put them all on Room 24’s Google Classroom!)

STEM challenge: We finally finished our gingerbread houses and have had them on display outside our class. Pupils from across the school have been voting for their favourites. The final winning gingerbread house was made by Evie, Nina, Aaron & Max C. Well done!

P5-7 Christmas Quiz – Today, we took part in the infamous Christmas Quiz run by Mrs Webber. We were part of Team Snowmen and… WE WON! WOOHOO!

Room 24 have had a very busy week indeed!

  • Our Christmas performance with room 23 on Monday was a great success – our pupils sure know how to dance!
  • Speaking of dancing, we’ve been practising our Scottish country dancing over the past few weeks too, and whisked each other round the hall during our Christmas party on Thursday.
  • Math learning this week has been Christmas themed with some festive fractions, percentages and coordinates tasks.
  • We’ve also been taking part in a STEM challenge to create a gingerbread house out of junk modelling materials. We’ll be continuing with these next week! Take a look at the photos to see our progress!
