Our weekly catch up
We’ve had a very Halloween-y time last week!
On Tuesday we had our Halloween disco at night which was fun! We listened to music and had a boys vs girls dance off, then we did a massive conga line!
On Wednesday we learned mo
re about the human body. This time it was about the digestive system. A funny part was when some of us had to try and eat 3 crackers in 1 minute without any water. It was so difficult because our mouths were so dry! We learned that the digestive system starts with our mouths and that we need the enzymes in saliva to help break down our food as we chew it.
On Thursday we created some Halloween gramographs with Mrs Lafferty. They were pretty cool.
On Friday morning we started learning more about fractions and completed a simplifying/equivalent fractions puzzle. When we managed to put the pieces together, we realised it was the shape of a ghost!
On Friday afternoon we had our Halloween class party. We played musical statues, musical chairs and a mummy game where we got into groups of three and had to cover one of our team members in toilet paper. The best mummy at the end won but Miss Napier didn’t make it easy… Each mummy had to take 10 steps around the class and so much of the toilet paper started falling off!
