What a wonderful week we’ve had in Room 3!
In maths, we’ve been learning how to write number sentences for addition, using cubes and number lines to help us understand how numbers work together. The children have been doing a fantastic job using these tools to solve problems and explain their thinking.
In literacy, we’ve been revising the six sounds we’ve learned so far in Primary 1. This has helped everyone become more confident in recognising and using these sounds in different words.
To round off the week, we enjoyed lots of Halloween fun! The class loved taking part in Halloween dances, a parade, and a party with the other Primary 1 classes. We also had great fun designing our own pumpkins, using our creativity and imagination!
Just a little reminder — please could all homework jotters and folders be placed in school bags on a Tuesday or Wednesday each week. This allows time for new homework to be glued and put into homework folders. Additionally, the parent council Christmas art must be brought back to school by the 5th of November.
Wishing you all a fantastic time celebrating Halloween and a lovely weekend!
