Today, as part of our writing lesson, we read the story ‘The Dot’. This is a story about a little girl who thinks that she is not very creative or artistic. During her art lesson, the character decides to just draw a dot. With some inspiration, she then draws lots of different dots, of all shapes and sizes.  These are later admired by many visitors at the school art show.

Today, we all decided to create fantastic pictures using a dot. We had lots of different ideas, from ice cream cones to flowers. We think they are amazing and very creative!

On Thursday 25th September, we will be hosting our ‘Learning Showcase’. This is an opportunity for our parents/carers to come into our class and spend some time with us completing different activities. This is a child-led afternoon and I am sure you will be impressed with the skills that the children are developing. We hope you can come along from 1:40-2:40pm. Thank you :-).
