The Amnesty International Youth Group have been involved in a series of activities to mark LGBT History Month. They have been testing their knowledge on how various gender identities have been celebrated in other parts of the world and cultures throughout history. They enjoyed exploring LGBT+ terminology and identities, and had fun learning about the history of the Pride flag (and other flags associated with a variety of LGBT+ identities). They grabbed a picture of themselves with Mrs McAlaney during the ‘Wear it Purple Day’ celebration, and even managed to hang a permanent Pride flag on the classroom wall!!!
