P5 Enterprise Event 2024

Primary 5 embarked on an Enterprise project to try and raise £5 from each group. There were 8 groups in total with everyone contributing to create items or activities that could raise money. Most items were 50p each. I hoped that we could raise £20 per class. The children had to make a business plan, estimate their proposed profit and then count the money they made. A great deal of number work.        Astonishingly P5 managed to make £160!Amazing!,

Primary 2a

Into the final week of term 2 and primary 2a have done amazing and looking forward to their well earned rest.

in the last 4 weeks they have learned some difficult concepts in numeracy like division and multiplication which they absolutely smashed. They’re now fully focused on learning about time and have been loving working with the clocks so far.

In literacy they have been working their way through their spelling and reading programmes showing more confidence each week with new sounds and answering questions about their reading books. This term their writing topic was character description, last week they done their final amazing piece, in which they created and described their own elf.

Also during this busy time they learned all about Scotland through the playroom, had a great time at the Pantomime watching Peter Pan and rocked out with the rookie rockstars.

Lights, Camel, Action!

Lights! Camel! Action! Primary 1b were outstanding as they performed the annual nativity. They  sang, danced and acted their way through rehearsals and shows and “wowed” their audience who clapped, cheered and laughed.

Last week in P4a

P4a had a great week! We absolutely loved the pantomime on Tuesday and our very own Yehor got to go on stage⭐️ We also delivered our short talks. We have all been working very hard on them and we did a great job!

P3a this week

This week we continued on with our descriptive setting writing.  Our topic this week was a winter fair with a colourful Christmas tree.  We discussed the picture as a class and used our senses to come up with lots of ideas to describe the setting.  We then worked on including adjectives to make our writing even more detailed.  In maths we focussed on rounding to the nearest 10 and will continue on with this next week.  As the weather is getting colder we painted some fun snowmen pictures which look fantastic up on the classroom walls.

Character Description 2B

For the last few weeks Primary 2B have been working very hard on developing their creative writing skills through character description. They have worked hard to use adjectives and connectives to create detailed descriptions of characters from Alice in Wonderland. Their descriptions of both the White Rabbit and Mad Hatter were excellent and they are all very proud of their work as is Mr Collins. Big well done Primary 2B.

P5B Blog -Friday 13 December 2024

On Monday for gym we did some Scottish dances. We did maths and after thatwe did reading and near the end of the day we did some blooket.
On Tuesday we did some maths and had early lunch because we went to the pantomime and it was so funny. After the pantomime was done the bus was late and  it was very dark.
On Wednesday we did some division and it was a tricky sheet. Then we went to the p1 nativity and they were really good. Most of the rest of the day we practised our presentations.
On Thursday we started our presentation and it was pretty scary . After we went to the STEM room and meet the P4b and we read our space story and it was pretty nice and the P4b’s were good listeners.
On Friday we carried on with our enterprise. We went outside for free time. We finished all the people for the presentation. After lunch we were finishing our enterprise and it’s going great.

This week in p7b

We have almost finished learning about report writing and have been getting on so well. Next week we need to put all our knowledge together to create a report on Robert Burns for our assembly.

We have had the Achieve More coaches again for PE and still absolutely love them. Scottish Country Dancing in the playground is also good fun but a bit chilly.

We all passed our maths assessment and are getting ready for the holidays.

Weekly Update!

This week p6a enjoyed a trip to the Kings Theatre to see Peter Pan! The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and represented the school proudly. What a great start to the week and a lovely treat for everyone.

In class we have been busy working on characterisation in writing! We used the description bubbles to help us when creating our own characters. We then expanded our notes, adding more detail, to create a description of our characters.
