P1b Weekly Update

This week p1b have been working very hard all week. We finished our NHS topic by learning about the dentist and pharmacy through role play. All the children were able to show what to do in an emergency through our role play lesson. The children have engaged so well with our playroom room activities especially in the pharmacy, they used their money skills to purchase medicine.

In maths we have been learning to recognise coins. We used our pharmacy to practise using money in real life situations.
In literacy we have had a focus on reading and writing CVC words with our phonics boards. The children were fantastic and loved to challenge themselves to make sentences. We introduced ‘th’ and can all identify words that start with this phoneme. As always I am incredibly proud of all of the children, well done P1B.

Improving Attendance – Every Day Counts

At Wallacewell Primary we are passionate about getting it right for the pupils we work with. In order for us to meet learners needs, we require pupils to be in school and on time each day. Missing school negatively impacts on pupils academic, emotional and social development.
