Primary 2 were very enthusiastically when their multi-sport coaches from City of Glasgow College had prepared a variety of circuits to enable them to try different activities.
They were able to hula hoop, play rugby, football, basketball and hurdles.
Primary 2 were learning about Ramadan. They were fortunate enough to have some of the children willing to share their own and their families experiences of Ramadan and talked enthusiastically about the preparations and celebrations in their faith.
Primary 2 have been learning a variety of sports skills.
In the first week they were developing their football skills and in the second week they have been learning basketball skills.
Not only have they learned important skills for these sports but they have worked as a team to support and encourage each other while having great fun!

In the playroom, we have been exploring the NHS-we have taken part in role play as doctors, created healthy meals, sorted food into food groups, explored the opticians, made our own glasses, measured out amounts and taken part in lots of experiments.

Primary 1 and 2 have enjoyed learning about The Enchanted Forest in the playroom this term! They have been learning about animals who live in the woods, the importance of trees and have listened to and recreated stories about fairy tale creatures who live in magical forests.

Primary 2 had the opportunity to meet, learn about and hold some exotic animals when Zoolab came to visit the class. They met a Giant African Snail, Hissing Cockroaches, a Corn Snake, a Tarantula and a Tree Frog. They were excited and fascinated by the creatures and hope that they will come again with other animals.
We have been learning about how Chinese New Year is celebrated. We learned about the race the animals had to help create the calendar. 2024 is the year of the dragon and we discovered that some of us were born in the year of the monkey, the rooster and the dog.
Primary 2 have been learning about the life of Stone Age people. They learned about what they ate, how they hunted and how they lived. They did an amazing job creating their own Stone Age houses.
