An exciting week in P1c

This week the class have been working very hard all week. We started a new topic of NHS with a focus on people who can help us. All the children were able to show what to do in an emergency through our role play lesson. The children have engaged so well with our playroom room activities especially role play where they all got to work in a hospital and medical centre. In maths we have been learning to read time to the o’clock and learning how to collect and display data on a bar graph. In literacy we have had a focus on reading and writing CVC words with our phonics boards. The children were fantastic and loved to challenge themselves to make sentences. One of the children’s favourite part of this week was our visit from ZooLab. The children got to meet some new creepy crawlies and some of the class even felt brave enough to hold a snake, cockroach and giant snail. As always I am incredibly proud of all of the children, well done P1C!

PARKS FOR PEOPLE SCHOOL EVENT INVITE

Dear Families,

We would like to invite all parents, carers and wider family members to a community event being held at Wallacewell Primary on Thursday the 13th of February 2025 at from 1.30pm. The event has been organised by Parks for People to consult with families about what they would like their local parks and greenspaces to look like. This is an exclusive event for families at Wallacewell Primary School. Similar events are being held locally by Parks for People for other local residents. Please see attached flyer for further information. Children in the school are already part of this consultation and with the support of our Community Development Student, Anna, they are sharing their views about the parks and greenspaces locally. This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to share their views and in turn help to improve our local area. We look forward to welcoming you on Thursday the 13th of February 2025 at 1.30pm.
