This week we learned lots in Primary 2/1.
We practised our writing by writing about the moon and rockets as our new topic is Space. We practised our numbers to 20 and learned how to subtract using concrete materials. We learned more about our feelings through PATHS and Twiggle taught us how to do the Turtle.

Primary 2/1 had an fantastic experience with Wildside Nature when Donald came in to deliver a workshop. The children learned lots about Halloween animals such as bats, owls and spiders.
They moved around like the animals and pretended to silently hunt their prey. They loved learning about how bats use echo location to fly around in the dark and had an opportunity to be blindfolded and find each other by sound alone.
Donald was very impressed with the knowledge and vocabulary that the children had when they were discussing the animals and mammals.
We can’t wait to see Donald again!
Primary 2/1 created bubble cauldrons. The children wrote fantastic sentences to describe what spooky items they would put in their potions, inside their cauldrons!
