Welcome to P6b and Mrs Tumelty.
Summary of Learning
This term, we will be developing our Literacy skills through our topic, ‘The 1960’s’. We will continue to develop our writing skills through digital technology and our topic. This term we will be developing our note-taking skills and applying them in our non-fiction writing activities.
In Maths we are focussing on developing our money skills through practical activities and independent learning as well as continuing to build numeracy skills through the four operations.
Our topic will take us on a journey through the ‘Swinging Sixties’ where we will find out about some of the key figures and events of that influential decade.
We will continue to enjoy a reading café with P6a, where we can read together and share our thoughts on the books we have chosen.
P.E. days are Tuesday and Wednesday.
PE is an important part of the curriculum and pupils should endeavour to bring in their kit and remove all jewellery.
Homework is issued on a Monday and is due on Thursday.

Achievements and Celebrations
During this term we will be developing our Spanish skills. We will be learning about Spanish culture by researching typical sports and famous sports people in Spanish speaking countries. We will be learning Spanish vocabulary to describe our hobbies and what we enjoy doing in our free time.
