Welcome to P6b  and Mrs Tumelty.

 

 

Summary of Learning

This term, we will be developing our Literacy skills through our topic, ‘Shipbuilding on the Clyde’  and our class novel, ‘There’s a Boy in the Girls’ Bathroom’.  We will be developing our imaginative writing skills through digital technology and our novel study.

In Maths we are investigating ‘patterns and sequences’, as well as continuing to build numeracy skills through the four operations .

Our topic takes a look at Govan’s shipbuilding history.

We are doing lots of reading in class and will continue to enjoy a reading café with P6a, where they can share and discuss a good read.

P.E. Days

P.E. days are Tuesday and Wednesday.  Make sure you have your kit and all jewellery should be removed.

Homework Days

Homework is issued on a Monday and is due on Thursday.

Spanish

During this term we will be developing our Spanish skills. We will be learning about Spanish culture by researching typical sports and famous sports people in Spanish speaking countries.  We will be learning Spanish vocabulary to describe our hobbies and what we enjoy doing in our free time.
