Welcome to P6b with Ms Rundell and Mrs Tumelty.
Summary of Learning
This term, we will be developing our Literacy skills through our topic, ‘Shipbuilding’ and our class novel ‘Sky Hawk’. We will be developing our discursive and persuasive writing and will be using these in the context of debates and class discussions.
In Maths we are developing our knowledge and skills with fractions, percentages and decimals. Later this term we will concentrate on angles, as well as continuing to build numeracy skills through the four operations .
Our topic takes a look at Govan’s shipbuilding history.
We are doing lots of reading in class and will continue to enjoy a reading café with P6a, where they can share and discuss a good read.
P.E. days are Tuesday and Thursday. Make sure you have your kit and all jewellery should be removed.
Homework is issued on a Monday and is due on Thursday.
