P2B

Welcome to p2b and Miss Fullerton 🙂

Our Learning

In maths we are learning to record information on a bar graph and to add/subtract numbers within 10 and 20 using a wide range of problem-solving strategies.

Children have daily phonics lessons and are encouraged to practise taught sounds at home. We read a wide variety of stories every day and love children to share what they have been reading with you at home.

Our topic this term is Toys!  This is a science focused topic which the children are really excited about.  We will be learning about how toys are made and different materials used.  Children will also design their own toy!

P.E. Days

P.E. days are Tuesday and Friday.  All jewellery should be removed on PE days.

Homework

Reading books are sent home every day. Please read with your child and sign their homework diary.  Children will also bring home reading words – these should be practised every day.

Learning journeys are sent home every Thursday to be signed and returned on Friday. Learning journeys are an opportunity for children to share their learning with you from during the week – we encourage parents to add their own comments to these .

During this term we will be developing our Spanish skills. We will be learning about Spanish culture by finding out what it’s like to go to school in Spain.  We will be learning some Spanish words including greetings, classroom commands, colours and numbers.
