| In Reading this term we are focussing on: Identifying the purpose of a text with suitable explanation. . Making relevant comments about features of language, for example, vocabulary, sentence structure and punctuation. Distinguishing between fact and opinion with appropriate explanation. Discuss character, setting and story form fiction texts and compare to other texts. We will aim to recognise and use an increasing range of presentational features of fiction texts. | For Numeracy P5a are investigating ways of collecting, organising and displaying data accurately in a variety of ways. We will also analyse, interpret and draw conclusions from data. We will Identify multiples and factors of whole numbers. We will also explore and uses a rule to extend well known number sequences including square numbers. We will make a start on solving simple algebraic equations with one variable. |
Our IDL topic this term is the Commonwealth Games. We will explore the history and evolution of the Games and investigate the different Commonwealth Countries and sports involved in the modern day games. We will explore themes of sportsmanship, inclusivity and health alongside this.
PE Days
P5a will have PE on Thursday (outside) and Friday (inside).
Remember appropriate clothing for these days and remove jewellery.
