Respect, Learning, Kindness, Friendship, Trust

Welcome to P4b With Mrs MacMillan

Summary of Learning

In Term 3 our topic is Climate Change.  We will be doing lots of research on climate change to find out the affect this is having on our world. We will be looking at the affects on different countries, people and animals. We will also be looking to see what things we can do to help make a difference and to look after our planet.

In language we are focussing on reading to improve fluency, expression and understanding. This term we will be focusing on poetry looking at non-fiction texts. We will be covering poetry in writing and we will be writing our own poems using similes. We are also enjoying weekly class reading cafes where we have the chance to read and discuss books whilst having some juice and a biscuit!

In Maths, we are learning about multiplication and we will move onto introducing division this term. We will be learning lots of different strategies to help us with these number operations. We will be learning about money too and focusing on giving change.

All children – remember to practise times tables regularly. We have currently learned the 1,2,5, 10, 4 & 8 times tables.
