Summary of Learning

This term our class topic is The Highland Clearances. We will be exploring the timeline of events linked to this and will be researching what life was like during this time.

We will be developing our literacy skills through active spelling, reading our class novels and reading for enjoyment. Primary 5 will be reading ‘The BFG’ this term and Primary 6 will be reading ‘There’s A Boy In The Girls Bathroom.’ We also lucky enough to be using iPads to develop our writing and literacy skills with the help of Mrs Nickson.

In maths we have been looking at the four number processes and different strategies we can use. We have also explored the use of inverse processes to check answers and to problem solve. Next we will be looking at 2D and 3D shape.

Within Science we have been looking into Animals and their Habitats and will continue to research this throughout the term.

P.E. Days

Our P.E. days are Tuesday and Wednesday.  Make sure you have your P.E.  kit and all jewellery should is removed.

Homework Days

Homework is issued on a Monday and due back on a Thursday. Children will be provided with a sheet to explain their tasks.

During this term we will be developing our Spanish skills. We will be learning about Spanish culture by learning about Hispanic Awareness Month.   We will be learning Spanish vocabulary including adjectives to describe ourselves and our families.
