Summary of Learning

We continue to  encourage and promote a positive attitude towards reading for enjoyment.

We are reinforcing mental strategies, problem solving abilities and a can do attitude with concrete materials, written and mental methods.

The topic for this term is “Our Clyde”. We are working together with the community to make our Govan better

In health and wellbeing the children are learning the importance of having a growth mindset and mindfulness. The children are aware of the need for a healthy lifestyle. The children have been learning all about Fair trade and the UN children’s rights charter. the children have enjoyed learning about their rights and responsibilities.

The children are learning greetings, numbers  colours and rooms of the house in Spanish. They are encouraged to have conversation about themselves in Spanish. Fantastico!

PE Days

Tuesday and Wednesday

Homework Days

Homework will be issued on a Monday and Learning Journeys will be issued on a Thursday. Both should be returned every week on a Friday.

The children should practise their spelling words using different active spelling techniques. the children should be reading for personal enjoyment using their own or library books. If you have children have internet access at home, children can log on to sumdog to practise their maths skills. Personal research tasks linked to their topics to showcase their personal learning.
