Hyndland Headline – September 2019

Please CLICK HERE  for our Hyndland Headlines newsletter – September 2019

This term we are focused on improving our communication and sustainability by ensuring quality and early information about events and reducing our use of paper and single use products. This will be our only distributed whole school paper newsletter this year. From October our monthly newsletter will appear on our website on the Friday of the first week of the month and will be digitally available on Groupcall and Twitter as well as our website.

If you require a paper copy of our communications then please pick one up from the file box outside our School Office.

Stage/class/club letters will also be sent electronically through our new Groupcall service, so please make sure that when you return your Data Checks we have both updated and accurate mobile numbers and email addresses.

Safer Internet Day

We have attached some documents that might be useful to look at with your children at home. More information can be found on https://www.saferinternet.org.uk/

Book Banding

In Hyndland Primary, we have moved to a system of Book Banded guided reading books to support our young people learning to be effective readers. This guide provides a brief outline of the approach, as well as hints and tips for how you can support your child at home.
