Cross-artform leadership programme for mid-career professionals working in learning and education
Applications are invited from colleagues working in learning and education roles in the arts to participate in the Extend Leadership Programme 2012-13. Extend will support up to 15 mid-career colleagues. The programme aims to give participants the confidence and skills to achieve a greater degree of leadership in the future. This could be through gaining a leadership position or through achievements that raise the status of the profession as a whole.

Funding has been secured from Arts Council England for engage to deliver a leadership programme for colleagues working in learning and education in the arts and cultural sectors from 2012-15. Additional support has been provided by Creative Scotland and the Arts Council of Wales in 2012-13 to support the participation of professionals working in Scotland and Wales respectively.
Building on feedback from the pilot programme, Extend will comprise:
A training needs analysis
Two residential programmes, including guest speakers and sessions on advocacy and campaigning
Mentoring
A joint project for participants
The fee for the programme is:
£800 for participants working in England and Wales
£400 for participants working in Scotland
Extend is open to mid-career professionals (either employed or self-employed) who work in the arts in education and learning roles and are resident and working in England, Scotland or Wales. See the applicant information document for full criteria.
