Meet the Athletes – Hockey/Athletics/Table Tennis

Join Eilish McColgan, Scottish 3000m steeplechase, Ailsa Wyllie, Scottish hockey forward and Sean Doherty, Table Tennis, exclusively on Glow as they share their excitement about the Games with you and tell you what it takes to be at the top of your game.
Mark Beaumont presents:  The Queen’s Baton Relay!
16 June 2014, 11.00 am

This exclusive session will be presented live by Mark Beaumont from a school in Midlothian.

Mark will share his rich experiences following the baton around all the 70 nations and territories and answer your questions as we go along. He will also introduce you to some special guests joining him that morning.

This is your chance to find out about the people who are involved in the organisation and running of the Games. You will hear all about how the games actually happen and be able to ask them the question only they will be able to answer. Game On!

Divided City by Theresa Breslin: New Musical Version for Primary Schools

Join Theresa Breslin and Elly Goodman of the Citizens Theatre as they offer a unique insight into the history of bringing this iconic book to the stage. Pupils and teachers will get the chance to ask Theresa and Elly questions about the play and the book and to find out more about this ground-breaking project. The Citizens Theatre has now staged three large scale musical theatre productions of Theresa Breslin’s Divided City, adapted for the stage by Martin Travers with an original score and songs by Claire McKenzie. First World War: Trench Warfare – Glow TV

Join the National Museum of Scotland for a unique opportunity to explore the experience of Scottish Soldiers serving on the Western Front between 1914 and 1918 through objects – including uniform and weapons – and first-hand accounts of life in the trenches, including letters and photographs. The sessions will be led by one of the expert enablers, who will work with participants to build up a picture of life on the front line.

Artist Will McLean Talks to Glow

What inspires a leading contemporary artist? How does an artist go about his work? How do I develop as an artist? If you’ve ever had questions like these then this is the Glow TV event for you.

As part of the preparation for the MUSA Young Artist Award 2014 renowned Fife-based artist Will Maclean will be talking about his life and work and will be answering YOUR questions.

Will is going to speak briefly about his own work and career before taking your questions.

If you are not able to watch the session live you can submit questions in advance by email for Will to answer.

The MUSA Young Artist Award is an art competition for schools in Fife organised by the Museum of the University of St Andrews.

Schools from all over Scotland are invited to participate in this Glow TV event.
