Well done to our boys and girls teams who took part in the Rural Sports last week. They all did really well and finished as runners-up to Stornoway Primary in the section for schools of more than 50 pupils.
Everyone at Sgoil a’ Bhac would like to congratulate the book committee on the successful launch of their book ‘Sgoil a’ Bhac Memories Through the Ages’.
This book is the culmination of months of hard work and perseverance by the committee in gathering information, stories and photos, identify the names of hundreds of former pupils and staff and bringing all this together in a volume that charts the 136 year history of schools and education in Sgire a’ Bhac.
It was a delight to see the community coming together at the school last night to see the launch of the book with an evening of talks, singing and musical performances.
Nach math a rinn sibh!
After selling out the initial delivery of books on the launch night, copies will be available for sale at Gordon’s Shop and in Stornoway newsagents in the coming weeks.
