Library Book Group

Miss McEachern is looking for pupils from all year groups to join her Book Group.

‘We will be shadowing the Carnegie Book Award and reading the books nominated for this year’s Award.  So if you love reading, if you like trying new books and authors, if you like meeting up with like-minded pupils to discuss and review these books online and if you want to earn House Points and be considered for Colours – then join Miss McEachern’s Book Group.  We will be holding our first meeting on Thursday 18 April after the holidays’.

So get involved and give your name to Miss McEachern as soon as possible.

Senior Boys Volleyball Cup Final

On Thursday 14th March, our senior boys took part in the Scottish Schools Cup Final at Coatbridge High School.   They fought in a tight match against Belmont Academy, previous winners of the Kelvin Hall National Festival in November.   Knowing it was going to be a tough match, the boys have been practicing hard over the last few weeks.

The match was nip and tuck the full way with Belmont coming out on top 25-19, 25-23.   The second set in particular could have gone either way.

Commiserations to the boys, but a huge congratulations required for getting to the Scottish Cup Final.   Well done boys:

Ross Taylor, Jhon Villaber, Ryan Magowan, Jamie Gemmell, Bilal Hussain, Darren Martin, Ian Clark, David Milton, Ross MacKenzie.

Thank you also to the fabulous supporters that came to watch.
