Christmas Enterprise

Classes Staffa and Jura invited their parents into class for an open morning.

The families were invited to  support pupils with their Christmas enterprise crafts.

Everyone was excited but Katie was super excited that her Dad was in class helping with their Christmas enterprise crafts.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed a get together in Teenscene with coffee and mince pies.

Look out for their crafts at the Christmas Fair on Thursday 1st December.

Sophie visits IMS

We were delighted today to have a visit from one of our former pupils Sophie.

Sophie and her family moved to America about 4 years ago and it was lovely to see them come back to IMS to see all her old friends.

Ruby was delighted and shocked when she realised it was Sophie and gave her a tour of the school.

After the tour and meeting some old friends and staff, Sophie joined class Lewis for a snack in Corrie House.

SupERkids iPad Training

SupERkids are pleased to invite the parents of our SupERkids to an event where you will learn how to use your iPad / tablet.

The Family Fund is running a project to support families to get the best from their iPads. They are running some free sessions
for families with an approved Apple Education Trainer. Training sessions will be tailored to cover topics most suited to parents’ and carers’ needs.

The session will take place on Thursday 24th November from 6:30-8:30pm.

Sensory Workshops

Classes Iona and  Shetland worked together to prepare and set up a sensory showcase for their families and friends from the primary department.

Everyone had a great day exploring the nursery rhyme themes sensory day.

Some of the parents then joined class Iona as part of the showcase and took part in their morning group.

Well done everyone for a great day.

PAMIS’ Mobiloo

PAMIS is launching its fundraising campaign for a Scottish Mobiloo on World Toilet Day, Sat 19 Nov 2016.

Mobiloo, which is based near Oxford, are bringing up their Mobiloo to support PAMIS in their launch, and to help promote the fundraising campaign.

Check out the flyer for details of the promotional tour at Glasgow Science Centre and the Kelpies.

A PAMIS Mobiloo will give people with PMLD and complex needs the opportunities that, at the moment, are sometimes unavailable due to the lack of fully accessible toilets.
