Yesterday Giffnock Primary Badminton Team took part in the East Renfrewshire Primary School Badminton Finals in Barrhead and our team came 3rd out of 7 teams!
Last year Giffnock came 5th out of 7 schools so there has been a great improvement and the team did exceptionally well considering that the school does not have an after-school badminton club and the team has not had much chance to practise together.
It was really close with Uplawmoor at one point and the team came close to 2nd Place. There were not many points in it!
Well done!
On Friday Giffnock Primary Badminton Team played a series of qualifying matches in a tournament. The team won and this means that they qualify for the Finals held at Barrhead Foundry on Tuesday 22nd November.
Congratulations to the Team for a great performance!
