In their Health and Wellbeing lesson this week, the Transition boys looked at emotions and the effect of puberty. They had good fun playing a game which explored all emotions. The boys were Successful Learners and liked sharing their answers with their group.
The Transition boys were Responsible Citizens when they attended the sensory assembly last week. They learnt all about Diwali the Hindu festival of lights.

This week the Transition boys made pumpkin spiced scones. the boys were all Effective Contributors as they all enjoyed mashing the roasted pumpkin and grating the cold butter (which felt very strange!). The scones were a clear winner judging by the photographs!
The Transition boys are Successful Learners every day when they take part in their ten minute challenges. The challenges change but are linked to literacy and numeracy targets. The boys were working on 24hr clocks, choosing words, money, sequencing, months and seasons and reading this week.
The Transition boys were sad to say goodbye to Mr Jenkinson as he leaves us for pastures new. Thanks for everything Mr Jenks, you’ll be missed!
The Transition boys were Confident Individuals when Singing Hands visited us. The boys sang and signed very well all afternoon. Thanks to Friends of Willowbank for organising this!
The Transition boys were Successful Learners when they went to the Kay park. They investigated Autumn colours and collected a wide range of leaves. They also found conkers, sticks, sycamore seeds and ivy. They used all their autumn treasure to make art displays back in the classroom.
The boys were Confident Individuals when they took part in lots of Hallowe’en activities. This ended with a great Hallowe’en pary on Friday morning.
It was the Transition class’ turn to host the assembly this week. The boys were Responsible Citizens when they told the secondary school how to keep healthy. They demonstrated different ways to stay healthy and Mr Jenkinson even got his make up done as part of a pamper session!
