Oh nearly there!!!

Buddy has been up to no good!!!

The School Show was a great success we all loved being dressed up – we were STARS!!!!

Santa also paid us a visit.

We also had a great party sorry no photos – we were so busy having a GREAT time!!

Oh it is not long till Christmas!!

 

Well not long till Christmas – we are getting very excited in the Pine Room.

Shannon is becoming really confident individual in her lift pants, she enjoyed using the Switch it board and listening to the number songs.

And sitting with her friends for snack.

Melanie was in charge of crushing the biscuits when we made our Truffles.

Mixing – lovely chocolate smell Jessica.

Then rolling in chocolate sprinkles.

Wow!!! They were good enough to eat.

We made lovely Christmas Stockings, we counted squares of coloured card and then stuck them on the outlined shape, then of course used some glitter!!

Santa surprised us with a visit – and he is a really busy man at this time of the year!!!

The Pine Room Welcomes back Buddy!!!!

We were all confident individuals in the kitchen making our chocolate cup cakes.

We made lovely stained glass Christmas trees which are proudly displayed on our window.

Shannon loved a wee bit of floor time with her toys.

Reece has been confidently learning her Christmas words and making up some Christmas stories.

Buddy has arrived and has been creating havoc!!!!

Reece was very annoyed he had scissors!!!!

We love our new Christmas Aprons.

Buddy arrived at school in a Balloon today!!

On Wednesday we had a wee trip out to the bowling – we were all responsible citizens and behaved really well.

Shannon had the highest score!!!

A walk in the Park.

This week we have been getting our Christmas coasters ready for the Willowbank Market.

Reece has been working on her money skills – and charging us for our snack!!

Shannon enjoyed time in her lift pants… not another photo Mrs Wilson!!!

We made some new sensory bottles – for the days of the week all bright and pretty colours.

We all enjoy listening to each others news during Morning Group.

On the MOVE again!!!

On Wednesday morning we went out and had a lovely walk around the Kay Park – the colours were pretty, it was a wee bit chilly, but we were safe and happy.

Reece was a Confident Individual and made Mars Bar Slice on Wednesday –  she did lots of mixing, melting in the microwave, pressing the mixture into the tin  and spreading the chocolate.

Social Snack  – Toast and Mars Bar Slice and lots of fun!!

Now to walk to Aberdeen – 52hours!!!! Cycle – 15hours!!!

Melanie and Reece are taking the bus.

Willow enjoyed training with the Aberdeen University Ladies Lacrosse team this week – it was a cold night but the ladies kept him entertained.

Willow has safely arrived.

Last Saturday Mrs Wilson took Willow to Edinburgh on the Train, he stayed overnight then Heather took him to Aberdeen on Sunday.

We started making our Enterprise activity for the Christmas Market.

We made lovely pictures with Mrs MacDonald.

We made soup in Cookery and then had it for snack the next day – yummy!!

Adam did great in his Walker.

We all loved seeing Jessica’s holiday photos.

We worked out how long it would take us to get to Aberdeen.

Driving would take 3 hours and 2minutes, the train 3 hours and 55 minutes and the bus 4 hours and 28 minutes.

Reece loves helping with  Shannon’s switch and telling her parents all the news from the Pine Room.

Melanie made us giggle with her relaxed pose!!

Willow the Bear is off to Aberdeen!!!

For our new Theme – Scottish Cities – we are studying Aberdeen. So Willow the Bear  is packing his case and heading off to explore the Granite City! On Saturday he is getting the train to Edinburgh with Mrs Wilson, and then Mrs Wilson’s daughter Heather will be taking him the rest of the way.

Willow has been getting in on all our activities this week.

We having been working on our numeracy skills this week – one of our activities was a game of BINGO – Adam won!!

During the game Shannon tried to distract Reece by getting the remote for her chair and making it go up – Reece thought this was really funny!!

Melanie laughed when Reece was helping her with her numbers and had the 5 upside down.

Reece has been a successful learner and used the ICT to do some of her numeracy – Adam enjoyed this too!

For cookery this week we made Children in Need Biscuits – yummy!!!

Bonfire, Dancing and Numeracy

Jessica had raised money for jeans for Genes and got a special mention on Milkshake on Monday Morning – Well Done!!!!

This week we made cup cakes and decorated them like wee bonfires – Reece took charge and Adam was the chief taster.

We worked on our Numeracy Skills.

And we started working n our Christmas Show Dance…

Meatballs, Cup Cakes ….Diwali!!!

This week we evaluated our theme and decided what we liked best about Cloudy with a chance of Meatballs – some of us liked dressing up!!

Reece read the story one last time!!!

We enjoyed Sensory Assembly – All about Diwali.

Jessica used the switch and mixed up a batch of cup cakes – then we decorated them like spooky eyeballs – for the real Halloween!!!!

50 Things Challenge

 

Today we combined our numeracy with our 50 Things Challenge. We counted  our conkers and then played with them, covered them in paint and rolled them in a tray and created some wild art.
