library visit and theme cooking

On Monday we visited the library again and the lovely ladies read us a sensory story. We chose our books to bring back to school and they even gave us books that we could take home and keep.

On Thursday we made French toast in the cookery room. We whisked the eggs and milk together and the ladies dipped the bread in and put it in the frying pan. We even rolled the bread flat and added in some cheese. The boys were all effective contributors during this time and patiently waited their turn. While we were waiting for the French toast to cook we looked at some pictures of different foods and decided which ones we should eat less of to be healthy.

We were responsible citizens are all made sure we washed our hands before making our food in the cookery room.  Our theme is France and we created our own Eiffel Tower creations using fruit. We used blueberries, banana and raspberries. The boys added their own fruit to their own tower. They all looked amazing.

We also made our own croissants and pain au chocolat. The boys enjoyed rolling the pasty to create them. We placed them in the oven to cook and the enjoyed them with butter and jam for our snack with the fruit from our Eiffel Tower creations.
