Fun Interaction in Oak

In the Oak class this week we have had a room full of confident individuals, who have enjoyed one another’s company to take part in a lot of different activities that involves us being together.  Lots of great friendships have been made within this class, it has been a week with positive interactions with others.

We enjoyed taking part in our Summer Beach Party games and had a piece of Colin the Caterpillar cake to celebrate the end of term.

We sang and signed along to some of our favourite songs with Singing Hands Summer Gig.

Also we have been getting behind our country and becoming football ready! We have really enjoyed performing our movement exercises to Yes Sir, I can Boogie!

Beach Party!

To follow on from this morning’s summer sing-a-long with the Singing Hands, the Snowdrops held their own beach party this afternoon.

We played some tropical beach sounds through the speakers and started our party off with some beach volleyball.

We then played some limbo. We tried really hard not to hit the bar!

After that, we played palm tree skittles and used a real coconut as our ball. We enjoyed looking and feeling its rough shell.

After our beach games we played in the sand and water outside in the lovely warm sun.

For our beach snack we had ice cream. We chose which flavour and toppings we wanted. Yum!

We finished our party with some dancing to Baby Shark!

We had lots of summer fun!

Singing Hands Beach Party!

Effective Contributors and Confident Individuals

The Sunflower class had an amazing day at our summer beach party.  The class enjoyed lots of songs by Singing Hands and  joined in with excellent signing! Afterwards, each child engaged in water play and sand play and danced to beach party music.  In the afternoon, the sun was shining  and the Sunflower’s enjoyed outdoor play in the sunshine.  Each child cooled down with a tasty ice lolly. What a brilliant day – we are almost summer holiday ready!

Beach party

Today we enjoyed joining in with Singing Hands virtually. We sang songs, signed, danced and used musical instruments.

We were confident individuals and had fun outdoors playing games and building sandcastles and even had a special visit from Bruce the crocodile to join in the  the “Bruce Boogie Beach Dance” on YouTube.  The Bluebells had a lovely day.

We also spread jam on croissants and added eyes and a smile to make them into crabs and added blue icing to cupcakes and fish to make them beach cupcakes. They were confident individuals spreading and choosing the fish to add to the top of their cupcake.
