FAOL -Enterprise Macmillan Snack Morning

Today we had a Macmillan snack morning with all the other infant classes. Yesterday during our cookery time we decorated cakes and biscuits with two different types of icing and used sprinkled. We had to use the rolling pin to roll one type of icing and then mix the other type using a spoon. We had lots of fun and were confident at rolling and mixing independently at times. Today we sat at a very long table in the corridor with lots of our friends and ate some green snacks and some of our own snacks too. It was an enjoyable morning. 🙂

Delight!!!

Last Friday we had a lovely time at the Fun day – we saw the Ponies, Owls and lots of other fluffy animals.

In keeping with our theme we made four different types of Angel Delight. Some of them we made in the big mixer, and presses the switch to make it mix – others went old school and used a rotary whisk!!! Then tasted them to decide which one we liked best, the Bluebell Class joined us for the tasting.

Assembly was about Harvest – and even better it was Sensory!!

This morning we went on a Literacy Hunt to look for symbols to put on to our Board.

* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS, EFFECTIVE CONTRIBUTORS *

The Bluebells class loved going on an autumn leaf hunt in the Dean Park. They had to search for autumn coloured leaves. We were lucky enough to see some falling from the trees as it was quite a windy day. We gathered lots of coloured leaves and have brought them back to class to make an autumn art collage.

IDL – Working together and Sharing

Our morning group, everyone is confident individuals and sign in, choose a friend then say ‘Good morning’. Great interaction with class friends every day with no prompting.

So this week we were successful learners making homemade pizza.  We made no yeast pizza dough and our own fresh tomato sauce.

Everyone was pleased with the results and it tasted delicious, Our pizza dough was made from flour and low fat natural yoghurt.

Our IDL topic book ‘Pizza Day’ explains about all working together to create lovely healthy food, tidying up afterwards and siting together to share the food we all made.
