Highlights of our Week

We have a right to share our thoughts freely  UNICEF Article 13.  We enjoyed  listening to a story called, ‘What to do with an idea’.  The moral of the story was to share your ideas with everyone and say what you are thinking.  So we made a silhouette picture of our head and put jigsaw puzzles inside for our ideas.  In the Oak class we are regularly encouraged to share what we think.

We enjoy working on our reading skills every week, we are becoming confident individuals at reconsigning the familiar words that are repeated throughout the story.

Everyone in the Oak class loves pizza, we played a pizza topping game with friends to increase our memory skills.  Some of us could remember three toppings others could remember up to five toppings.

We were successful learners when following the music to play some of our favourite songs, this week we played ‘I Love my Life’ and ‘Three Little Birds’.  Everyone was actively engaged in the music lesson.

We enjoyed our outdoor PE lesson, we were working on our basketball skills.  We were confident individuals when trying to dribble and shoot as independently as possible.  Everyone focused their attention and listened to the advice given to make their performance better.

The Moonbeams have been learning how they can help to make our world more Eco friendly.  We made Eco pledges to switch off the lights when we are not using them, turn off taps when they are not in use, walk more, feed the birds and recycle where possible.
