Well Done FitFest Ambassadors!
Our P6 and P7 FitFest Ambassadors did a wonderful job at the weekend with their duties at the well attended event at Greenhead Park!
We are extremely proud of them for the dedication and commitment they have shown towards not only their role on the day, but with the work they have carried out with the NCDT on the run up to the event.
Well done to you all and thank you to Tammy and the New Cumnock Development Trust for giving our young people such a wonderful opportunity to act as leaders in our community.
Clean Green Natural Environment Team meets FitFest 2026
Our Clean Green Natural Environment Team, in partnership with our NCDT Fitfest Ambassadors, have created this Green Health in New Cumnock Sway to promote use of green space in our local community and the benefits to our mental and physical health.

Lapraik Festival 2026
Over the weekend, 3 of our pupils attended the Lapraik Festival in Muirkirk to compete in the verse speaking competition.
Each of them gave a wonderful performance and did a great job of representing our school!
Each entrant was awarded a medal and Scots language book.
Piper M was also awarded 2nd place in the P1/2 category and Stewart Y was awarded 3rd place in the P3-5 category.
Well done to these superstars! We are so very proud of you all!
Term 4 Afterschool Clubs
Please see information in the Form below about Afterschool Clubs running this term. (Please note that Choir will continue to run this term on dates identified in the school calendar. Football is now finished until after the summer holidays.)
This term, as well as having the opportunity for P1-4 classes to attend Extra Time Club with Active Schools on a Tuesday 3pm-4.30pm and invite being extended to the rest of P7 to attend the Hot Topic group with Yipworld, we will now be offering a x3 week block of Badminton with Tommy Mulgrew for P5-7 pupils on a Friday from 3-4pm.
Spaces are limited so register your child quickly.
Please note that due to the short time frame to sign up, you will not receive a confirmation email this time. If you sign up your child, please be assured they have been allocated a space, unless you are informed otherwise.

Our annual Summer Fayre is coming up on Saturday 6th June from 11am-1pm.
Please contact our Parent Council on the email address within the poster if you, or someone you know, wishes to purchase a stall at the event.
Our Parent Council are also looking for donations of raffle prizes. We ask that these be handed into the main office at the school.
