Lapraik Festival 2026

Over the weekend, 3 of our pupils attended the Lapraik Festival in Muirkirk to compete in the verse speaking competition.

Each of them gave a wonderful performance and did a great job of representing our school!

Each entrant was awarded a medal and Scots language book.

Piper M was also awarded 2nd place in the P1/2 category and Stewart Y was awarded 3rd place in the P3-5 category.

Well done to these superstars! We are so very proud of you all!

Sports Day 14/5/26

Sports Day will be held next Thursday, 14th May 2026. Parents/carers are invited to join us for 10am at the Glens Park.

Children are encouraged to come wearing their House Team colours on Thursday. Please do not worry if they don’t have any items in their colour, there is no need to buy anything new, sports gear will suffice.

A wee reminder of colours:
Bracken 💛
Heather ❤️
Pine 💚
Thistle 💙

This year, on Sports Day, we are also asking our pupils to bring in a food/drink item in their house colour.

Our Parent Council will use these to make 4 House Hampers which we will be raffled off.

Raffle tickets will be on sale at Sports Day for £1 per strip. Please ensure you bring cash for this and look our for our Parent Helpers at their table.

The raffle will be drawn and winners announced at our Summer Fayre on Saturday 6th June.

Thank you again for your continued support.
