As part of our Topic Polar Lands linking to the water cycle we went a trip to Dumfries House and took part in lots of experiments. We then enjoyed exploring outside at the water park.
Primary 1 – Owl Magic Visit
Primary 1 have been learning about Diurnal & Nocturnal animals and Light & Dark through the ‘Owl Babies’ story. We had very special visitors in our class today and had the opportunity to hold the owls and ask questions about how they are looked after.
P3 – Enterprise – Organising a Party
Primary 3 have had a very busy week as it was our enterprise challenge to organise a Halloween Party for the infant department. We had to plan the games and scripts, organise music, write a letter to order apples, make posters and decorations then lead the infant department during the party. It was a lot of hard work, but it was well worth it. The infants had a fantastic time, and we learned lots about team work, organising events and the importance of taking on roles and responsibilities. P4 Computer Coding Champions!
Now that term 2 is here, P4 will be learning about computer coding with Miss Stevenson. Today they used the Tynker Hour of Code activities to practice building algorithms using block code. They had a great time and enjoyed the level of challenge within the games!
SLC3 Computer Coding Champions!
SLC3 were excited to start their new computer coding topic in ICT today. They enjoyed building their algorithms to play an online game and progress through the levels. They are sure to be coding champions in no time!
