On Friday 2nd June, Finlay in P2 attended the Barony Hall in Glasgow to receive his award for his success in the Leaders Award. This was a very special event and a wonderful opportunity for Finlay to celebrate his amazing success. Furthermore, Ruairi in P3 and Yasmin in P7 were judged to be ‘distinction’ and their work was displayed in the Barony Hall the following weekend.
Building upon their success at the local competition, today Isla K and Danielle in P3 and Tyler and Kasey in P6 took part in the West of Scotland Primary Engineer Regional Final Competition. We are delighted to announce that Isla K and Danielle were judged WINNERS at Apprentice Level 2 and Tyler and Kasey won for BEST THEMED. Well done everyone, we are so proud! Well done to Beau, Devyn, Isla K and Danielle in P3 and Lara, Aaron, Tyler and Kasey in P6 who competed in the Primary Engineer STEM celebration event held at Greenmill Primary on 26th April. All teams worked well and were a credit to Barshare. We have been working super hard to complete our models. We are now at the testing stage. After conducting our tests, we will have to adapt our vehicles to ensure they can run as straight and as far as possible. Here’s a sneak preview so far…
Primary 3 recently visited Emergency One. This visit helped us to learn about how vehicles are constructed. We hope this will help us with our Primary Engineer Challenge. We had a great day observing the production line, going into fire engines and even holding the hose!
