Our Weekly School News

An opportunity to share our learning with the school community. We hope that families may find it useful when listening and talking about what your child(ren) have been doing in school.

(More photographs are on our school website. Comments on our activities are also very welcome – click on the small comments link underneath each Post heading on our website.)

Positive Destinations. We are inviting ex-pupils of the school to either post on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/cdpschool/) or email the School – gw08officecastle@dumgal.gov.uk to tell us about what jobs they have done and any achievements they would like to share. This is to add to our ‘Positive Destinations Wall Display’ to give our current pupils some ideas and information about their future aspirations.

Some Class News

Primary 1

P1 enjoyed hosting a Transport Museum on Tuesday. Children from our Nursery and  Treasure Island came along to join in the fun.  We played lots of activities to do with transport from the past.  Our P1’s enjoyed sharing their super transport homework with the younger children.  Fallon made a great poster about milk floats.  Kahlen told us about the horse and cart and she made a model too.  Ewan’s project was about old tractors, he made a model of an “old grey Fergie” out of Lego.

Well done to everyone who completed the homework challenge.

We have also been busy painting in our flower beds outside our classroom. A big thank you to Georgie’s dad, Lachlan who came into help us.

“I liked digging the holes for the plants.” – Nicole
