On Thursday 13^th of March P5/6 held a Job Fair at Castle Douglas Primary as part of their Health and Life skills topic. The pupils discussed what skills and attitudes they thought you would need for specific careers and what careers they were interested in pursuing when they grow up. Pupils wrote letters to a professional they were interested in and asked them if they would like to take part in our Job Fair, to come and share their life experiences in their career so far. The pupils also wanted to find out what skills you needed for specific jobs. We were very pleased with the response and a number of local professionals gave up their time to come along and speak to the pupils. They bought with them a selection of examples of tools or every day things they used in their profession. The pupils really enjoyed the job fair and learned a lot from being able to ask questions. The professionals were great with the children and we are really appreciative that they gave up their time to come and work with the pupils.
