Blog to share learning of small, Scottish rural school
It’s Mr Mac’s last day and we wished him good luck.
The little class had all written good luck messages, which they read for Mr McIntyre.
Following that, the big class sang a song that they have learned as part of their Lochinvar Project.
Next the big class all performed a poem they wrote called: D’ ye mind ae Mr Mac?
Finally, Mr McIntyre gave a speech and said farewell.
Good luck Mr Mac and all the best!

What a term it’s been at Brydekirk and we are all ready for a break before the final term.

Miss Primrose has organised a Readathon for the next fortnight. Pupils will be reading as much as they can to raise money for a good cause, good luck.
Our P1, P2 and P3 pupils also received their book bags from the Scottish Book Trust in time for Scottish Book Week:
The children and staff have worn spots and onesies and raised over £50 for children in need. Hurrah!
The P7s made a great job running the Summer Disco, well done. Thanks to the PFA who helped.
Due to personal circumstances, Mrs Turnbull’s Farewell Afternoon on Wednesday 23rd March will unfortunately be postponed until next term. We are very sorry for any inconvenience at this difficult time.
We had a visit from ZooLab on 7th October. Tristan, the animal handler, brought along lots of insects and reptiles. The children enjoyed learning all about the animals.
Well done to Alex and Ami. They were successful in qualifying for the Sprint 4 Fun Finals.
Very well done to Ami. She came third in her race at the Sprint 4 Fun Races which were held at the Everholm track on Saturday 3rd October.
