Low Port Update
Well what a busy day that was!
We waved off our friends from group 1 whilst eating our lunch then went straight to orienteering! Everyone got to know the area of The Peel very well which will be great for tomorrow when we walk round the loch and down the canal. The nagvigation wasn’t easy but we all gave it a good go! Freya and Anais were the fastest over 2 courses and we were feeling very proud of them! 🌟
Back at the ranch we unpacked and headed down to the kitchen for lentil soup and a delicious steak pie dinner. Everyone ate very very well! After that we headed down onto The Peel to play. A group of us played football whilst others guddled in the burn, played on the swings and did an array of gymnastics moves!
After exhausting ourselves we headed back to the centre for supper – you’ll not be surprised to know that the Nutella was the most popular choice! We then headed off to bed and most of us cosied down and we’re fast fast asleep for 10pm.
Tomorrow half of us will be sailing whilst the other half will be off to trail the forest and streams at Beecraigs! Fun fun fun!
Lowport orienteering around the Peel
We found navigating our way around The Peel tricky at first but now we are true explorers!! Dave and Rona, the instructors, said that they were proud of our teamwork and perseverance!
Night time fun at camp!
Whilst the girls love their fairy lights, the boys have been loving their torches! Our pods are awesome!
P4 Badminton Festival Fun
Today our wonderful primary 4 children, along with Miss Munro, Mrs Hardie and our lovely parent helpers Vivienne and Fiona headed down to Craigswood Sports Centre to participate in a badminton festival. They were super excited and absolutely did our school proud whilst participating alongside children across our cluster. Well done boys and girls, we’re so proud of you and the infectious giggles as you bounced back into school proved that you had fun! Don’t believe us? Check out Miss Munro’s video 👌🏼
Wall bars, camera, ACTION!
I was lucky enough to be a fly on the wall with P4/3 as they demonstrated teamwork, collaboration, resilience and perseverance all rolled up in perfectly poised gymnastics moves! Thank you again Mr Stewart and Mr McLeish! The buzz around the hall today was infectious and the other classes are very much looking forward to their turn next week! We are absolutely loving working with PE specialist Mr Stewart and our brand new PE teacher, Mr McLeish. Half of our school will be participating today and half again next week. Our new PE teacher, Mr McLeish will be joining us fully later in February. We are very excited to have you on board! #PE #fitness #healthandwellbeing #gymnastics
P3/2 Gymnastics Fun!
P3/2 has a fantastic time familiarising themselves with our gymnastics equipment! Some were a little hesitant but persevered & were soon jumping, climbing and rolling like the professionals! Well done everyone!
Toronto Netball Team
Last week some children from our new Netball team played in their very first Netball Festival. They showcased their new skills beautifully whilst displaying excellent team work and sportsmanship by celebrating everyone’s success! They were placed 4th overall – WELL DONE! Keep going team Toronto – we’re so proud of you!
The children are loving netball so much that they are practising in our new hall twice a week at lunchtimes with the help and support of Ms Muir and Mr Graham who are very proud of their dedication!
