Primary 3 had fun this week making elf hats. We think we could do a good job of helping Santa out this Christmas, if he is hiring!

Yesterday, Toronto Primary School enjoyed a whole school visit to Howden Park centre to see their fabulous panto Jack and the Beanstalk. We all had a great time sharing in some festive fun and laughter, even Mr Graham ended up as part of the cast!
Primary 5/6 have been working hard as a team over the last few weeks to put together their own Christmas music video. All pupils have played important roles in the making of this video, either as actors, camera operators or directors. We have learned some new skills and had lots of fun along the way.
We hope everyone has a lovely Christmas!
P 5/6 have been using there ICT skills to create Christmas word clouds. We used WordArt.com to create them. We thought of lots of Christmas words and we put them into some Christmas shapes. Here are a few of the masterpieces that we made…

Primary 7/6 and 7 have been working on instructional writing this term. They wrote instructions on how to create a Christmas card to help their Primary 1 and 2/1 buddies create a card. They had so much fun this afternoon creating them! 🎅🏼

Darren came in to visit P6 and P5/6 this week. We enjoyed a session focusing on the Christmas story and remembering it’s importance in among all the buzz of this time of year.

We were feeling extremely humbled in Nursery today when Alison from the charity Mary’s Meals came in to collect a cheque for an incredible £80.38!
As part of our recent work on citizenship, Nursery staff decided that instead of accepting Christmas gifts from our lovely families, this year that we would ask them to forget the gifts for us and to try to contribute 25p so that we could raise £13.90 to feed a child for a year in a developing country. Mary’s Meals offered to double whatever we Managed to raise. Our amazing Nursery parents loved this idea and blew our target out of the water! We raised £80.38 which, once doubled by Mary’s Meals, will feed 12 children for a whole year! We can’t believe it! We are so grateful to have the most incredible children and families in our Nursery!
Alison, the representative from Mary’s Meals, was overjoyed to be invited in to speak with the children and she said that she had never heard of any other Nursery doing such a lovely charitable act in this way. Stuart from The Courier caught professional snaps and these photos will hopefully be published in The Courier next week or the following week.

Thank you again to our thoughtful families – we are overjoyed! Remember – no Christmas gifts! #familyengagement #citizenship @marysmeals

We were very proud of you all today as you shone on the big stage in all your glory! Your singing was fab, your costumes were amazing and your smiles were infectious! We loved every single second of it! Thank you to Miss Galloway, Mrs Wong, Mr Platt, Mrs Neil and Mrs Robertson for all of the effort behind the scenes!! We’re definitely in the Christmas spirit now!!
Keep your eye on The Courier next week as we may feature somewhere in it 🌟🎅🏼🎄
Mmmm…we wonder who will spot our elf door first?
