P3 Home Learning for Wednesday 6.5.20
Good morning Primary 3! I hope you had a lovely holiday weekend with your families. I just wanted to say that I was very impressed by your photos showing the wonderful work you are doing! Well done!
Below are your home learning tasks for today and the resources you will need to complete them:
Maths – Measuring in cms. Today’s activity is about ordering different lengths. For question 3, please choose five objects from home. Question 4 is a little bit trickier. Read the question carefully and take it step by step. You will need to use your knowledge of doubling and halving for this question! I have also included a measuring game to revise how we use a ruler to measure in cms. Please complete level 1.
Literacy – This week are revising capital letters, full stops and question marks. Please complete one of the differentiated activity sheets.
French – Revising the numbers 1-10 in French. Next week we will progress to numbers to 20. There are lots of fun songs on youtube to help you too.
RME – Story of the Good Samaritan. Design a poster to encourage others to be kind.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation have launched a new, free Digital Making at Home initiative to support parents and young people with coding at home. You don’t need any coding experience to join in, and all of their resources and activities are free forever.
Every Monday, they release new themed code-along videos about projects designed for all levels of ability. They also provide support tutorials for parents who are interested in learning more about coding tools like Scratch and Python, and over 200 projects with step-by-step instructions that are accessible online at any time — all for free.

P2 Home Learning Grid for W/B 6.5.20
I hope you have all had a lovely holiday weekend and are ready to get on with some more home learning! Please find the learning grid for this week attached. As this is a shorter week I do not expect you to complete everything on this grid. Pick the activities which interest you and only do two and a half days worth. P2 have been super busy with their home learning. It’s really great to see and hear how you are all getting on. I am so impressed with how motivated you all are. We’re using this short week as an opportunity to catch up and ensure all online learning platforms have been set up correctly. I know from speaking to some families last week that a breather week would be beneficial. I have amended the Learning at Home grid for children to catch up or move on so there’s still plenty for everyone to do. We also have a new task related to our Leavers plans. This should be emailed to me directly via pupil email accounts. I know some parents would find it useful having access to all supporting documents at the beginning of the week for printing. I will upload these to the blog along with the grid at the beginning of each week.
