I hope you all enjoyed “Wellness Wednesday ” and were able to enjoy some of the activities. By now you should have your next learning pack which contains 3 weeks of work. Some additional task for today-
Activity 1 – Phonics

Today I would like you to complete the “Handwriting Practice” and “Write and Colour the sh Words” sheets from your pack. A little clip to remind you that the sh sound can come at the beginning and the end.

Activity 2 – Reading
L.I. to read words and sentences
S.C. I can use the pictures in the story as a clue to help with unfamiliar words
S.C. I can read words I know in a sentence and use them to help me decide what an unfamiliar word could be

S.C I can answer questions about the story
Re-read your reading book Painting the Loft (from Oxford owl) and answer the following questions. Remember to answer in sentences if you can.
For example – Whose house were the children going to spend the night in?
The children were going to spend the night in grans house. (remember to use the question to help create some of the answer)
- Which room were the children allowed to use as a den?
- What colours did the children use to paint the den?
- What did they have to do before they started painting?
- What 2 things did Gran have for the children?
- Did the children get much sleep?
Activity 3 – Numeracy

- What is double 4?
- 5 + 3 = ?
- 6 – 5 = ?
- 7 – 4 = ?
- 4 + 3 = ?
- What combination of coins could you use to pay for something that costs 10p?
- How many silver coloured coins do we have?
- If you bought a ball and it cost 7p and you paid with a 10p piece how much change would you get?
- If it is 2 o’clock just now what time will it be in 1 hour?
- 5 + 4 + 2 =?

Activity 4 – Health and Wellbeing 
L.I. to explore different relationships
S.C. I can describe the qualities I look for in a friend
This term we are going to be looking at relationships. I would like you to think and talk to someone at home about these 2 key questions – What is a friend? and What makes people friends?
You can then complete “What I Want in a Friend” activity sheet from your new learning pack. Try to list as many “wants” in the boxes as you can.
