My First Week in Primary 1!

Nursery Newbies!
This week we have welcomed lots of new children and families to our Nursery! The children have been amazing at learning the nursery routines, exploring their new environment and making friends. Our garden has been particularly popular!

Breakfast Club
We love to welcome our children to Breakfast Club every morning!
Please note breakfast club if your child would like breakfast at breakfast club they should arrive between 8:05-8:10 to allow the children time to eat their breakfast. The children will go outside to play with their peers at 8:25.
Archiving Seesaw
FAO: Primary 2-4 families who were at Calderwood Primary last session
Dear parent/carer,
Now that we have almost completed our enrolments for 2022/23, we will begin to move on our Seesaw accounts to new clans.
Primary 4 children, will begin to learn how to use Teams to profile their learning and their Seesaw accounts will be achieved. You can download your child’s profile by clicking on the ‘Print PDF’ option on your child’s journal. This will allow you to print or save your child’s profile, please do this by Friday 26th August.
Primary 2-3 children, your child’s profile will continue, but you may wish to also download their profile, to have one for each year/ clan. You will continue to use the same log in.
Primary 1s and new families to Primary 1-3 will be issued with their logs in over the next week or two.

Dear parent/ carer,
It has been fantastic to welcome our children back and see them so happy about being back at Calderwood Primary! We are rapidly growing, yesterday we welcomed 79 new Primary 1s and 47 new children across Primary 2-7, this will also grow over the coming weeks.
With this in mind, it is important, that you, or whoever is collecting your children takes time to read the Sway below. We do have to put a process in place, to ensure our children are collected safely, this is why there are different pickup points for different age groups.
As children are eating their snacks outside at break time, please ensure they have a small healthy morning snack for their break, children who have their snack in a lunch box are finding it difficult to eat all their snack during this time.
Those families who have iPay please use this to order your child’s lunch to save time in their clans, new families to Calderwood will receive their log ins next week. A reminder that the last payment for milk for this term is on Friday 19th August. This can be ordered on iPay or through the office if you don’t have iPay.

A gentle reminder that everything should be labelled with your child’s name; uniform, jackets, water bottles and lunch boxes.
