Communicating your child’s allergy:
- If your child has an allergy you should communicate this through email to the school office.
- Appropriate forms will then be provided to the parent e.g. medication form, individual healthcare plan and flowchart
- If required, a ‘free from’ menu / individual menu will be provided to the parent
- Individual children’s allergies are then shared on a poster with their photo, name and allergens with the child’s champion and in the kitchen
- Any medication and flow charts are stored in the child’s classroom/first aid room (if appropriate)
Ordering lunch for your child:
- On iPay, you should then click ‘special diet’
- This information is shared with the kitchen who prepare the appropriate meal (from their menu if appropriate) for your child and their meal will be labelled with their name
- Your child’s champion will give your child a purple band indicating they have a special diet (purple bands on order)
- At lunchtime your child will give the kitchen champions a purple band and use the allergy poster to provide your child with their meal
