House Captain Elections

Yesterday was an exciting day in school as we held our first House Meeting for our House Captain elections!

It was fantastic to see the children proudly wearing their house colours and getting involved in the election process. Our Primary 7 candidates did a brilliant job delivering their presentations, sharing their ideas and explaining why they would make great House Captains.

The children in each house then had the opportunity to cast their votes, and we were delighted to announce our successful House Captain candidates at Connects today. A huge well done to you all!

A special thank you also goes to our Primary 7 pupils and especially to our Calderwood Chiefs, who helped to support our younger pupils throughout the meetings and voting process. Your leadership and care for others were fantastic to see.

We are looking forward to seeing our new House and Vice Captains grow into their roles and make a positive contribution to our school community.

Burns Clan Connects

On Friday morning, Burns Clan came together to share their learning with their families and the rest of the school community through their Clan Connects.

The children told us all about Equity at Calderwood and their important role in deciding how our Participatory Budget is spent.  They did an amazing presentation and we are so proud of each and every one of our learners.

Burns Clan then spent some time with their adults, sharing more of their learning from the year so far.

Thank you to all parents and carers who were able to come along to support Burns Clan on Friday morning.

Bramble Clan Connects: 02.12.22

On Friday 2nd December, Bramble Clan presented their own connects all about ‘The Bramble Brain Lab.’ The pupils created a fantastic performance sharing their knowledge of the different parts of the brain, what our brain helps our bodies do and how our brain can grow so we can learn new things. Bramble presented an incredible performance that took into account costumes, acting and music! Well done Bramble Clan!
