COSD Community Event – Thank You!

This week, we were delighted to host our COSD (Cost of the School Day) event here at Calderwood, bringing together families, partners and pupils for a really positive and supportive afternoon.

The event was designed to help families access support, advice and information in a relaxed and welcoming environment. A range of partner organisations joined us, offering guidance on areas such as clothing grants, funding support, employment opportunities and local community programmes for the summer.

Our pupils played an important role in making the event such a success. They helped to run a coffee shop, creating a friendly space for families to come together, chat and find out more about the support available.

We would like to extend a huge thank you to all of our partners who took the time to attend and share their expertise. Your support makes a real difference to our school community and helps ensure that families feel informed and supported.

We are also incredibly grateful to the families who came along. It was lovely to see so many people taking the opportunity to connect with services, ask questions and spend time together in school.

Events like this highlight the strength of our community and the importance of working together to support all of our children and families.

Thank you again to everyone involved in making this such a successful event.

Burns Clan Connects

On Friday morning, Burns Clan came together to share their learning with their families and the rest of the school community through their Clan Connects.

The children told us all about Equity at Calderwood and their important role in deciding how our Participatory Budget is spent.  They did an amazing presentation and we are so proud of each and every one of our learners.

Burns Clan then spent some time with their adults, sharing more of their learning from the year so far.

Thank you to all parents and carers who were able to come along to support Burns Clan on Friday morning.

West Lothian Foodbank Collection

Last week, we were collecting for West Lothian Foodbank.

The food has been collected and we just wanted to say a huge thank you to all parents and carers who were able to generously contribute towards this cause.  This will help families in need in our local community as well as across West Lothian.

Baird Clan Connects

On Friday morning, Baird Clan came together to share their learning with their families and the rest of the school community through their Clan Connects.

The children told us all about the Cost of the School Day and their important role in deciding how our Participatory Budget is spent.  They did an amazing presentation and we are so proud of each and every one of our learners.

Baird Clan then spent some time with their adults, sharing more of their learning.

Thank you to all parents and carers who were able to come along to support Baird Clan on Friday morning.
