Sorry for the delay in this post! We recently enjoyed a VE Day party in class. We had lots of fun completing WW2 activities, these included making a model Anderson shelter. We also ate some ‘delicious’ mock banana sandwiches, as there were no bananas around during the war people boiled and mashed parsnips as an alternative. Some of us enjoyed the sandwiches much more than others!! We enjoyed dressing up and wearing the gas masks we made in class earlier that week.
